《百喻經》裡有一個故事，從前有一隻猩猩，手裡抓了一把豆子，高高興興地在路上一蹦一跳地走著。一不留神，手中的豆子掉落了一顆，為了這顆掉落的豆子，猩猩將手中其餘的豆子全部放置在路旁，趴在地上，轉來轉去，東尋西找，卻始終不見那一顆豆子的蹤影。

最後猩猩只好用手拍拍身上的灰土，回頭準備拿取原先放置在一旁的豆子，怎知那顆掉落的豆子沒找到，原先的那一把豆子卻被路旁的雞鴨吃得一顆也不剩了。

想想我們現在，是否也是放棄了手中的一切，僅僅為了追求「掉落的那一顆豆子」？
