力匡是五○年代香港重要的南來作家，在港期間曾大量發表詩作，引起青年學生爭相模仿，也創作了不少短篇小說，技巧圓熟，值得細讀。 本書選輯了力匡十六篇短篇小說，其中包括《長夜》小說集中比較出色的、他離開香港前發表了卻還未結集的作品，以及少量故事新編。不少故事以香港社會小人物為背景，風格凝練，相對寫實。讀者可從中欣賞到力匡創作的多樣性，同時窺見五○年代香港社會的面貌。



作者簡介

力匡

原名鄭健柏，另有筆名百木、文植，1927年生於廣州，1950年來港，任職中學教師及圖書館主任，曾主編《人人文學》及《海瀾》，著作有詩集《燕語》（1952）和《高原的牧鈴》（1955）、散文集《北窗集》（1953）、小說集《長夜》（1954）、《阿弘的童年》（1955）、《聖城》（1956）、《諸神的復活》（1958）、詩論集《談詩創作》（1957）。作品見於《星島晚報》、《中國學生周報》及《大學生活》等。力匡在1958年離港赴新加坡從事教育工作。1985年重新在香港的《香港文學》和《星島晚報》發表創作，1991年在新加坡逝世。
