內容簡介

「西貢坑口客家舞麒麟」於2014年入選第四批《國家級非物質文化遺產代表性項目名錄》。麒麟是中華傳統神話動物，廣東的客家人以此塑造出「舞麒麟」此一宗教儀式，並有聯誼鄉村的作用。廣東客家移民在香港定居後，大都要子弟學功夫和舞麒麟，以功夫保衛鄉村，以舞麒麟服務鄉民的儀式及聯誼需要。隨時代發展，舞麒麟面臨無人傳承的危機。本書結合文獻與口述歷史，講述西貢坑口客家舞麒麟的歷史發展、禮儀，及其成為國家級非物質文化遺產的意義。




作者簡介


廖迪生，文化人類學者，美國匹茲堡大學人類學博士，香港科技大學人文學部榮休副教授、前華南研究中心主任。專研香港與華南地方社會文化；研究興趣包括：民間宗教、文化傳承與保育、食物與全球化、族群認同、家庭與親屬關係等。著作包括《香港廟宇》、《大時代中一位老香港的足跡：何銘思口述史》、《香港天后崇拜》等。
