內容簡介

大澳的龍舟遊涌活動，最少有百多年的歷史。每逢端午節，大澳居民迎請四所廟宇的神像巡遊大澳所有水道，請求神明的庇佑，同時也有聯繫凝聚社區的意義。然而，由於財政緊縮及人手缺乏，龍舟遊涌的延續與傳承出現了困難。2011年，「大澳端午龍舟遊涌」成為「國家級非物質文化遺產代表性項目」。在大澳傳統龍舟協會組織、居民的參與，以及各方支持下，龍舟遊涌活動漸漸回復成為大澳社區的周年盛事。本書結合文獻與口述材料，講述大澳龍舟遊涌活動的歷史、文化及社會意義。




作者簡介


廖迪生，文化人類學者，美國匹茲堡大學人類學博士，香港科技大學人文學部榮休副教授、前華南研究中心主任。專研香港與華南地方社會文化；研究興趣包括：民間宗教、文化傳承與保育、食物與全球化、族群認同、家庭與親屬關係等。著作包括《香港廟宇》、《大時代中一位老香港的足跡：何銘思口述史》、《香港天后崇拜》等。
