本書以戰時和戰後時代的日本知識人（知識分子）為視角，以「跨戰爭」為時間尺度，探討日本知識人在「戰爭」這個反應裝置中對時局的觀察與因應及其戰後處境，細緻呈現永井荷風、奥野信太郎、大佛次郎、尾崎士郎、火野葦平、吉野源三郎、鶴見俊輔等知識人當時的姿態與選擇，從而剖析近現代日本知識人的思想與精神。作者強調戰敗體驗所提供的實感，將戰爭史還原到個體的精神世界之中，這對於當下的我們理解戰後日本文學與思想源流、回應否認侵略戰爭的右翼史觀具有重要的價值。

作者簡介

王昇遠，上海交通大學外國語學院長聘教授、博士生導師，兼任教育部高等學校外國語言文學類專業教學指導委員會日語分委員會委員，主要從事近現代日本文學史與思想史研究。著有《文化殖民與都市空間：侵華戰爭時期日本文化人的「北平體驗」》，譯有《近代日本的中國觀》和《里斯本丸沉沒》等。曾獲吉林省社會科學優秀成果一等獎（兩次）、上海市哲學社會科學優秀成果獎二等獎、宋慶齡基金會孫平化日本學學術獎、霍英東全國青年教師獎等獎項。
