這是第一本系統論述汪精衞生平的專著，作者以史實資料為基礎，集合多年研究成果，綜述了汪精衞一生中由革命志士蛻變為漢奸國賊的歷史軌跡——他年少多才，曾是省級狀元，春風得意；他撰文演講支持革命，更以身犯險，謀刺攝政王載灃，被捕入獄，寫下「引刀成一快，不負少年頭」的慷慨詩句；孫中山臨終時，由他親手起草遺囑，成為指定接班人。他曾任國民黨副總裁，是蔣介石的官場宿敵；在日本入侵、民族危亡之際，他卻妥協投降，公然叛國，淪為漢奸，終至身敗名裂。


汪精衞行為思想前後不一、複雜多變。作者對其並沒有全盤否定，而是結合特定的歷史形勢和境遇，進行客觀公正的分析與評論，深入挖掘其心理蛻變歷程，給讀者展現了一個性格多面、真實可信的汪精衞。
作者簡介
聞少華 1928年生於湖北浠水。中國社會科學院近代史研究所特約研究員，長期從事民國史研究工作。著有《周佛海評傳》、《陳公博傳》、《汪偽政權史話》等，並發表相關論文二十餘篇。
