內容簡介

香港著名設計師劉小康，受業啟蒙於百家爭鳴的1970年代，奠定設計專業於經濟騰飛的1980 年代，與世界交流接軌於瞬息萬變的1990 年代，創作思維轉型於積極創新的千禧年代。
本書將其在2015年舉辦的一次個人展覽「劉小康決定設計」化作文本，藉着細述他三十多年來不同作品的設計理念，包括各種文化、商業及公共空間藝術項目、跨媒介經典創作如《椅子戲》系列等，從身份、文化、交流、商業、傳統、公共空間多個面向，探討「甚麼決定設計?」這個看似簡單，卻值得細思的問題。本書期望為年輕新一代帶來啟發之餘，亦可視作這位大師的中期成績報告表。讀者可由此全面認識其創作心路歷程和心得，並對設計有更透徹的認識和反思。




作者簡介

香港著名設計師。畢業於香港理工大學，獲頒傑出校友及榮譽院士。他自1981年開始跟隨香港設計教父靳埭强博士工作，為靳劉高創意策略創辦人。其設計及藝術創作榮獲不少國際獎項，除個人創作外，他更致力推動香港及大中華地區的設計發展。曾出版《設入點：劉小康的CMYK創意學》、《知竹》等。
