作者簡介

金耀基（King Yeo-Chi，Ambrose），著名社會學家，教育家，散文家和書法家。一九三五年生，浙江天台縣人。台灣大學法學學士，台灣政治大學政治學碩士，美國匹茲堡大學哲學博士。曾任香港中文大學新亞書院院長，社會學系主任，社會學講座教授，大學副校長、校長等職。先後於英國劍橋大學、美國麻省理工學院訪問研究，美國威斯康辛大學、德國海德堡大學任訪問教授。二〇〇四年自大學退休。現為香港中文大學榮休社會學講座教授，台灣「中研院」院士（一九九四至今），西泠印社社員。
