牟鍾鑒先生受教於馮友蘭、任繼愈先生，四十餘年來，秉承學術統緒，孜孜不倦。構建“新仁學”理論，創立“民族宗教學”新學，致力於光大儒學。

本書直面當下問題，以精煉、通俗的語言，將中國文化是什麼及其當代價值闡釋得明白曉暢又入木三分。

本書圍繞儒學的當代價值這一主題，試圖闡明以下一些主要問題：孔子、孟子為中華文明做出了什麼貢獻，儒學在歷史發展過程中有哪些經驗教訓，儒學在當代如何進行理論轉型，儒學與社會主義核心價值觀的內在聯繫是什麼，儒學在今日社會主要應在什麼領域發揮作用和發揮何種作用，儒學怎樣推動中西文化會通和新型國際關係建設，等等，而論說的重點在於中華傳統美德的闡揚。總之，試圖用時代精神啟動儒學的恒在價值，以實現明體達用的目標。



作者簡介

牟鍾鑒，中央民族大學教授、博導。出版學術專著《呂氏春秋與淮南子思想研究》《中國宗教與文化》《走近中國精神》《儒學價值的新探索》等十多部。與張踐教授合寫的《中國宗教通史》，獲教育部2003年頒發的第三屆中國高校人文社會科學研究優秀成果獎宗教學一等獎。發表學術論文200餘篇。2012年獲得“孔子文化獎”。等。
