作者簡介


貝大衞（David Bellis）與古老網

一名來自英國威爾斯的軟件工程師，自1992年定居香港，把寫博客當作興趣，2009年博客擴展成專注於討論和收集香港歷史的Gwulo.com（古老網），內容包括分享他擁有的老香港照片，邀請網民一同探索相中細節，使歷史變得更貼地、更容易理解。

營運古老網而蒐集的照片和故事，為大衞帶來充足的材料，先後獲2023 年香港國際文學節、大館、香港海事博物館及其他本地機構邀請，開設有關香港歷史的講座。由於活動回響不俗，大衞遂以此為基礎撰寫了第一本Old Hong Kong Photos and

The Tales They Tell，其後發展成五冊系列性書籍。

與此同時，古老網也不斷成長，現有超過五萬頁關於老香港故事的內容，逾3.5萬張照片，每年瀏覽量達160萬，成為對老香港歷史感興趣者的寶貴網絡資源。2025年，大衞更獲英皇查理斯三世頒授大英帝國勳章（British Empire Medal），以表彰他和古老網在保育香港文物方面所作的貢獻。

居港三十多載，大衞於2024年搬返英國。身處海外的他目前仍致力營運古老網，以及舉辦更多有關老香港歷史的演講活動。
