香港鬼節是一個混合了佛、道、民間的「節令」，盂蘭法會中因而常常出現「你中有我，我中有你」的情況。本書名《鬼月鈎沉》，講的就是「盂蘭」這個中國節日的香港面貌；書的副題是「中元、盂蘭、餓鬼節」，目的就是要拆解「香港鬼節」的面目、來歷和掌故等歷史與傳說，意味深長。

若論香港民俗活動之內容豐富和具規模者，陰森森的「鬼節」必是不二之選，鬼節的民俗精華在於法會，本書作者花了15年時間，共走訪全港各大小盂蘭法會逾百個，將搜集和歸納出來的資料，撮要舉凡、分門別類，按主題編寫，內容主要分為：〈盂蘭節真面目〉、〈香港鬼節法會的早期記載〉、〈香港鬼節法會的現況〉、〈香港鬼節法會的宗教模式〉、〈鬼節法會名物大解構〉、〈香港鬼節法會的掌故與軼聞〉、〈逝去的場〉和〈逆境掙扎的鬼節法會〉等篇章，並搭配豐富的現場照片和各區鬼節法會資料，除可為讀者展示盂蘭節充滿地方色彩的一面外，更可幫助讀者增加對本土文化的認識，進而發揚香港獨特的鬼節文化。


作者介簡
周樹佳，專欄作家、電台主持人、香港史地掌故研究者。曾任電視台節目監製，現專於研究香港民族掌故，及兼任本地民俗文化課程講師，著作包括《香港民間風土記憶1-3》、《李我講古1-3》、《香港英雄》、《奇廟》等。
