勾勒跨越世紀的機場歷史

1891年，美國雜技員鲍德温於快活谷馬場上，首次將熱氣球成功升空。1911年，比利時飛行家溫德邦在沙田一淺灘上，成功將費文雙翼飛機起飛，揭開香港航空史的序幕。1927年，英國皇家空軍選址啟德填海區成立駐港基地，此為啟德機場之前身。1936年，啟德轉為軍民兩用機場，首架民航客機「多拉多」降落啟德機場跑道，揭開香港民航歷史第一頁。這個充滿傳奇的啟德機場就這樣服務了香港七十多年，與港人憂歡與共，直至1998年才於全球注目下榮休，由赤鱲角新機場接替，延續香港的民航服務，創造另一個航空傳奇。

本增訂版增加了兩肩關於跑道燈及747珍寶客機的文章及精彩圖片，並更換了原版中的一些圖片。



作者簡介

吳邦謀 (Ir. James Ng) 於1998年註冊為英國特許工程師，現為註冊能源效益評核人，持有香港工程師學會會員和英國工程及科技學會會員等專業資格。現從事航空運輸業，在香港國際機場工作超過16年，一直積極研究及探討香港航空業的歷史及發展。

曾著作《天空之城──從啟德出發》、《再看啟德──從日佔時期說起》及《說航空．論飛機》。現為香港收藏家協會義務秘書，除推廣收藏及歷史研究文化外，專門收藏有關香港航空及啓德機場的文獻、舊照和舊物。曾於香港大學、香港中文大學及長春社文化古蹟資源中心等地方舉行航空珍藏品及圖片展覽，並獲邀於香港飛行總會、香港海防博物館、香港文物探知館及文化葫蘆非牟利機構等，講解香港航空的歷史及發展，分享昔日啓德機場的光輝歲月。
